The Danish Philharmonic Orchestra will launch a new international cello competition in 2027 in collaboration with Nordic Artists Management. The Danish International Cello Competition (DICC) will be hosted by the orchestra at the Concert Hall Alsion in Sønderborg from 26 June to 3 July 2027.
The application period for cellists of all nationalities (born on or after 27 June 1996) is between 15 August and 25 October 2026. 24 participants will compete in three preliminary rounds and then the Final.
